Create a graph with column title in X

Hi ! 

 

this is mly first post I am a very beginner in PBI

 

simple question but can not find out the answer ! 

 

I do have a database with 1 line per project

On each project I do have 4 column with the spend of the project per Quarter

Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 

 

I would like to create a graph (Idealy a curve) Showing in X "Q1" "Q2" "Q3" "Q4" (just the column title) and in Y the sum of the column amount 

 

I CAN T FIND OUT how to perform this super simple thing 

can you help ?

Amit is absolutely right if you unpivot the datayou get to the solution you need
bleow steps:

Step 1: get to the Query editor by selecting 'edit query'

Step 2: select the columns Q1 to Q4 by holding the Shift key now right click  and select 'unpivot columns'

Step 3: click 'close and apply' (your data should now look as below)

Step 4 build your visulaisation:

Gentleman : Thank you soooo much for the time you have been taking explaing it to me : Power Bi is a totally different approach and I must admit not easy

@Thrasymaque , one way is use all 4 as values in the visual(say Bar)

 

Second, unpivot the data and use it

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.
