Good afternoon Team,
I have a table of customer data. This table gives me customer name, year, and the customers Annual Contract Value (ACV). I am in need of creating a calculated column that looks at each customer and applies the following logic to give me a customer STATUS for that year. The first year a customer shows an ACV value they are to equal 'NEW'. Subsequent years they continue to show a ACV Value, they are to = "CURRENT", and upon the first year where they went from having an ACV value previously and now do not they are to = "LOST". I am struggling on the best approach and DAX syntax to provide this output. Below is an example of the data I have in my table, along with my SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR.
I would expect to see in my new column, for the last client in the image, that in 2017 they would show as NEW, 2018 they would show as CURRENT and in 2019 they would show as LOST.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous ,
I create a test file and it works properly.
You could use measure here. Column is static.

Thanks a ton! Just needed fresher eyes.
It's worth noting, I've tried this approach with a nested IF approach, but all I get is every row resolving to UNKNOWN.
