Hi there,
If a column is set to type: country, will Power BI automatically detect different value type and knows they are same?
E.g. a country table contains column:
usa
can
jpn
kor
ind
then, if another table contains a column value:
America
Canada
Japan
Korea
Indea
Possible to create active relationship and Power BI auto detect & map them?
Thank you.

Hi @h_l
Those values are not the same so there'd be no relationship. You'd need to create another column in both tables and in that assign a unique number to each country. That way you can establish a relationship.

I see, so the type of "Country" will help to "MAP" visual, but not Power BI's detect....
Thanks.
