Hi Guys,
Requesting for your help... I wanted to have a dax that counts the ticket when a date is filtered. I am currently not using dax to filter dates.. I am only using 1 table for this and I am wondering why it is not filterning up.
Hope you can help with this. 🙂
Thank you.
Could you please share some more information?
Some sample data and a result you want to see?
Hi @RobbeVL ,
For example I have list of tickets with "completed_date".
Filter: Completed Date: August 1, 2019
Ticket No Completed Date
001 August 1, 2019
002 August 2, 2019
003 August 1, 2019
Scenario: If August 1, 2019 is filtered, only Tickets 001 and 003 will reflect.
I only have 1 table for this 🙂
But what do you want to see?
How many Tickets in a day?
if so: Make it into a Matrix table, Drag "Date" to rows, and "Ticket no" to value, and make sure it Counts the column.
Hi, @Anonymous
Yes yes this is correct, are you using a measure for this? Cause a simple filter can't solve my problem here 😞
Hi there,
I still dont really understand your question.
What you describe seems like normal Beheviour.
You could just insert a Slicer in your visual and filter on date.
Or do you want a measure to do some calculation?
Robbe
Hi @RobbeVL ,
Yes it seems like an easy problem. I tried using slicer in my visual and filter on date but it's pretty weird it is not filtering up. Another solution that I can see is using a measure to do calculation 🙂
Hope you could help me on this. Thank you 🙂
You will need to create some sort of sample dataset... or pbix file
