Count = CALCULATE(COUNT(contacts[contactid]),FILTER(contacts,accounts[accountid]=contacts[_parentcustomerid_value]))

@FunWithPowerBI , Count has been taken as a grouping in the row. that is why it is not changing. The account is on one side , the column is replicating with contact and does not sum up correctly. which is correct

is there any other way to achieve ?

@FunWithPowerBI Can you just use a COUNTROWS('Table')?

@Greg_Deckler COUNTROWS('Table') takes all contacts (not working)

@FunWithPowerBI Would need sample data to test with. Please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
