Count specific items in visual table created

Hi everyone,

I have created a visual table which shows the purchase status of my customers:

1) Picture 1 shows all my customers buying from me

I have 3 product groups (Atom, Diamed & Valx). I have named the purchase status of each products into few Purchase Status using DAX ( Growing, Slowing, critical, follow-up & lost account).

On the top Cards, i try to show the # of accounts under each category based on the table below.

However, I found that the calculations are not tally with the number of accounts shown in the table.

EG: I only have 11 active accounts but the card shows 13 active accounts. Growing accounts in the table and the card is also different.

May I know how can I count the rows in visual table using DAX which contains Critical, Growing, Slowing, etc, in regardless of master name and product group?

EG: Critical = 1 Growing = 11 Slowing = 8

Did you figured out? I see the it counts the status in the visual correctly in the pbix.

Hi Paul,

If I select one product, the numbers in the cards are not tally with the numbers shown in the table.

In fact you cannot count the rows in a table visual, you need to count the original data table after filtering. Please share sample pbix so we can understand your current model.

The thing is I have defined my accounts based on their purchase status. Now, I need to count how many accounts I have based on the status I defined.

@Anonymous , does it include a distinct count or some row context if ?

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.
