Count rows in table based on category in another table

Hi All, 

 

I am new to Power BI and I got stuck when trying to create a column with counting rows in table based on category in another table.

I have two tables as shown in below screenshot.

 

If the itemNumber in table 2 falls in startRange and endRange in table 1 and OPSId=4 and STId=5, count +1

What I want is count rows in each category in table 1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @DLM ,

 

Is there a relationship between the two tables in a certain field? If there is no relationship, I'm afraid you can't achieve the result you expected.

Could you share the sample .pbix or describe more details?
