Count of Employees per month (count 1 for every month, the employee is active until end date)

Hi everyone,

I have the following problem.

I want to have a graph with the count of active employees. If a employee starts for example in 01.01.2021 and terminates in 01.04.2021, there should be a "1" in every month (Jan., Feb., Mar.) until the end (Apr.)

This is my table for example:

EmployeeStart dateEnd date
A01.01.202101.04.2021
B01.02.202101.03.2021

For a better understanding, it should be looking in a table like this:

MonthEmployees startedEmployee terminateCount of employees
Jan101

Feb

102

Mar

011

Apr

010

The actual situation in my report is, if I create a visual, it only shows the count new started employees and the ones who terminates. But I want to count if a employee starts in January and ends in March, it should count for every month a "1" until march.

Something like this:

Thank you in advance!!!!

Hi, @Anonymous

Please check the below picture and the sample pbix file's link down below.

The relationships between the two tables are both inactive.

All measures are in the sample pbix file.
