Corrupted source files

Hi,

I have a Power Bi with a large number of source files.

This includes employee statistics in excel files, one file for each month since 2016.

In query editor I have loaded all these files, disabled 'include in refresh' and disabled 'load'.

So in my opinion, they have been loaded once, and should not be reloaded or refreshed.

I have merged them into a new query and use that for my model.

But here is the problem: My model contains more files I DO want to refresh. Refresh keeps failing because it says a file is corrupted. It is a different file each time but allways one of the files that shouldn't be refreshed. Via query editor and a lot of patience, I can reload the data whitout the error.

I have tried this solution: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/File-contains-corrupted-data/m-p/548620

That didn't work.

Any ideas?

hi @Anonymous

First, you should know that although you disabled 'include in refresh' and disabled 'load' in power bi desktop.

It will still be refreshed in power bi service.
