Copy newly added data to fixed column

Hello,

I am trying to use powerbi to read excel data from a task schedule. But I would like to use PowerBI to show the original scheduled dates, even after the schedule gets updated.

So when new data is entered in Start Date and End Date, I want columns to be populated with that data.

But once the Original Dates are populated once, I don't want them to ever change again.

So if the Start Date and End Date are adjusted, I want the Original dates to remain static.

Wednesday's new update: Start and End date updated for Task A, but Original didn't change. Now Task B also has newly added dates.

Then on Friday, Task B's dates are adjusted, but the Original dates don't change.

Is there a Dax operation to do this ?

Thanks

Thanks.

Basically what I want to do is create a Baseline data column based on the first date entered for a given row.

(Similar to the MS Project Baseline function)

you will have to keep history if you using the same source and overwriting it. Or create a new field for the original date.

power bi isn't a database as such, you will need to store historic copies of your data if you want retain history.
