Converting a JSON call to table

Hi,

I can call the data i would like into Power Bi via a JSON call and it brings it back as the below:

I then tried selecting converty to table:

but this gives me the below which errors out no matter what options i choose:

I then tried opening the list to the recoprd level and converting to table:

but this also errors out when being converted to a table:

Error:

Expression.Error: We cannot convert a value of type Record to type Text.
Details:
    Value=Record
    Type=Type

An example of an open record on my data is:

 Can anyone advise on the best way to import data into a table so i can then build a report as normal?

Much appreciated.

Re: Converting a JSON call to table

I would recommend not to touch any of the parameters in the UI-dialogue. Just accept the default-values as they are.

Re: Converting a JSON call to table

That worked.  I was trying to force a seperator.  Simole solution .... leave it alone!

Thanks for your help.

Re: Converting a JSON call to table

Hi Mfelix,

Thansk for pointing me in the direction but this is not allowing me to do the steps outlined in your link.

I cannot convert to table as at step one as i get the following prompt:

Screen Shot 2019-04-17 at 15.31.53.png

and no matter what option i choose i get the below error:

Screen Shot 2019-04-17 at 15.33.25.png

I have tried transforming the table / column but this has not worked either?

Can yourself or anyone else advise on a way round this issue?

Much thanks,

Hi @Falafel ,

I don't have any sample data to experiment with the same erro as you have, did you check the blog post that was in the previous post I suggested?
