Converting HH:MM:SS to seconds

Hi all,

I am currently trying to convert values which have HH:MM:SS time values to the number of seconds.

I hope someone can point me into the right direction.

Best regards,

Hi @Anonymous -

If the column has a Time datatype (preferable), you can do this:

Seconds Since Midnight = [Time Datatype]*86400

If it's text, you need to convert it to time first:

Seconds Since Midnight = TIMEVALUE([Text Datatype])*86400

Cheers!
