Converting Date in Text Format to Date in Date Format

I have dates (i.e. 11/27/2019) in a table column that are in a text format.  I need to add a column with that table that has the date in the date format.  Is there a formula or process to convert a date in a text format to a date format?

In Dax format should to both ways.

You can use a formula like this on the text. Change the data type to text or create a text column

Combine = mid(DD__MM__YY[Date],4,2) &"/"& left(DD__MM__YY[Date],2) & "/" & right(DD__MM__YY[Date],4) & " "& DD__MM__YY[ time]

Example of format

FormatDate = FORMAT(DD__MM__YY[Combine],"dd/mm/yyyy HH24:mi:ss")
