Hi guys,
I have been tasked with creating a KPI report for control-m stats. when a job ran, if it completed/failed etc.
This is used to determine the knock on effects if a certain job fails.
I understand there is an API
Ideally, I would like to write to a SQL database so we can report on trends.
Anyone done something similar?
What is the best way to go about it?
thanks a mil guys
Ian

Hi, @IanCockcroft
You can refer Control-M and Microsoft Power BI v.1.0.docx or consider custom data connector to get data from Control-M. For more details, you can refer Power BI Custom Connector: Connect to Any Data Sources. Hello World!, Custom Data Connector: How to Deploy and Test and Starting to Develop Custom Connectors.

@IanCockcroft , If I got it correctly. You Have REST API that gives data.
What we have done in a case where we were getting data from REST APIs
we have moved data of rest API to SQL server using Kafka Or Java and we tried stream sets also
then we have done some normalization and denormalization, to get star schema
connect to power bi and used it
Thanks Amitchandak,
We dont have an API.
do you know of one that we can use to get stats from control-M?
thanks
