Hi,
I'm trying to understand what is the difference between this two measure:
SimpleFilter = CALCULATE(SUM(Table1), FILTER(Table2, Table2[ID])) FilterWithContains = CALCULATE(SUM(Table1), FILTER(Table2, CONTAINS(Table1, Table1[ID], Table2[ID])))
Both of them returns to me the same output. So what is the difference and when to use each one?
I assume that your tables are related to one another on an ID column?
Honestly, without seeing your data, I'm not sure that either statement is really doing all that much but your second formula is definitely overly complex for what it appears you are trying to accomplish. I would have probably used a RELATEDTABLE or RELATED filter if your data and relationships are what I think they are.
