Connecting two tables that have a relationship to a date table

Hi,

I have a table with a Customer ID and the date that they joined. Apart from that, this table contains lots of other columns with all kinds if metadata for each customer in my system:

CUSTOMERS

Customer ID (unique values)

Join date

A

1-1-2019

B

2-2-2019

I have another table with the order information by outlet:

SALES

Customer ID

Order date

Sales

A

3-3-2019

$100

B

4-4-2019

$500

A

5-5-2019

$200

These two tables have a relationship via the Customer ID column. That way, I can connect all the metadata from the Customer Table with the sales information, and see for instance how much sales I'm generating by city or country.

I also have a master date table, and you might already see the problem here: I want to connect my master date table to the order date, as well as the join date. I want to see how much sales I have over time, and I also want to see how the amount of customers I have is growing over time. Problem is that the Customer and Sales tables are already connected to eachother with the Customer ID, so if I'm connecting the join date ánd the order date with my master date, this is causing an interference.

What would the best workaround be for a problem like this?
