Connecting two tables for line graph

Hi

I am having sales and expense table as below

DateSales
1.02.202115
02.02.202143
03.02.202145
04.02.202156
01.03.202143
02.03.202121
15.03.202112

DateReturn
1.03.202115
2.03.202143
03.03.202145
04.03.202156
04.03.202143
05.03.202121
15.03.202112

I need to create a single line graph to show the sales and returns. I created a date column using the calendar function and connected both the sales and returns table. Is this the right way to do this? I can get the line graph but not sure whether it's right or wrong?

What would be the best way to create my data model in order to generate a line graph? Please advise

If I get you right.
Table1 have to columns - Date and Sales

Table2 ahve to columns - Date and Return

In the model tab of Power Bi connect the two table by connecting the dates

Drag the visual on the the report page. Select the Sales and return as values and date as Axis
