The Oracle reporting database that I use with Power BI has one table set up as a synonym and Power BI cannot link to it. Unfortunately, that 1 table holds about 70% of the reporting data I use.
Hi @Anonymous ,
It is not supported to implement your demand in Power BI currently .There is an idea about this issue, please vote it up, Connect to Oracle Views and Synonyms , to improve the Power BI.
It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
We also submitted this feedback to the product group internally, so that the product group can pay attention to this problem and speed up the issue repairing.
Best Regards,
Amy

I cannot vote on this idea since, it's comes back with Page not Found. Is this feature now active in the latest release of Power BI?
Thank you Amy for responding. I have already voted on the issue in your link. I hope Microsoft decides to address this issue soon, but until then, my post here yesterday was in the hope that someone out there with the same problem has figured out a work-around and shares it here.
