Hello all,
Any have experience with connecting to SAP HANA? Our models were working fine until the last two updates (June '17, July '17).
Managed to roll back to the May '17 build but still get an error:
Interestingly, if we try in DirectQuery it works:
I feel like it's a size limitation issue. When selecting just a few columns from the cube it works, get to a certain number of selections and it errors. Need to use Import to mash-up with other sources.
Thoughts? What else should I check?

Hi @Aron_Moore,
The PG team has investigated the same issue and suspect the error to be coming from HANA driver as no changes had been made in Power BI. To understand the issue better could you also provide a desktop trace while accessing the report both using the Power BI desktop July and May versions? You can enable tracing on the Diagnostics tab of the Options dialog.
@VP As your issue is different from this thread topic, please create a new thread in desktop forum.
Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
Looks like we finally have a solution. Seems we need to set the calculation views to Data Category: Dimension for the HANA connector to work properly. I can't find where it says that in the Microsoft documentation and am waiting for a reply.
