Connecting Power BI app to Salesforce Sandbox

Hello,

I am trying to connect our company's Salesforce sandbox to the Power BI web app. Every time I try to connect it, however, I get the attached message. Is it possible to connect a SF sandbox to the Power BI web app or does it only work with the Desktop version of Power BI?

Thank you,

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can try to enable TLS 1.2 in the Windows Registry.

To enable TLS 1.2, it is possible to set the SchUseStrongCrypto DWORD value in the following two registry keys to 1, creating them if they don't exist:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319" and "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319". Those registry keys, however, will enable TLS 1.2 in all installed .NET 4.0 applications on that system.

Thank you Yingjie!

How would I go about setting this up? Can you please provide a step by step process?

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can open register editor, find the path I have previously posted, if it did nor exist, create it. And change the valuse data as 1.
