So i am trying to connected to an excel sheet that is stored in an On Premise sharepoint site. When i tried to connect to it, i kept getting a "File contains corrupt date" error. I have had issues connecting this sheet to other products (mainly MS Flow). Originally i figured it was because the excel file had a password portection on it for it to be open, but i was able to get them to take that off. There still is a password on there to edit, but i dont think that would do it (i could be wrong though). The other thing i could think of was because this is a SharePoint site that we apparely house on one of our servers. I just use the "Get Data" then "Sharepoint Folder" to full the file from.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Please remove the password of protected worksheet and try again. Besides, if you need the excel file to be protected/encrypted in some way, you could move the unprotected files to a secure folder that limited people have access to. Reference: power query accessing password protected workbook
