Connected Excel Tables from Power BI (Public Preview) - you dont have right permissions

Hello All,

I have pro license with admin access to the workspace where i publish my reports.

When I check this new option related to export to excel as live connection, it is disabled as below.

Licence mode as Embedded.

Licence type as PRO

Have admin access to the report

Can anyone please guide me what are all the other settings should i take care to enable the export to excel as live connection option.

Hi  @Anonymous ,

You can check the following:

1. The version is older than 2016.
2. The tables in the model don't have a unique key.
3. An administrator or report designer has disabled this feature.
4. You enable the Show items with no data option for the visualization Power BI is exporting.

May be the Tenant setting is disabled：

I think u need the really expensive version of PowerBI for this. I can't recall its name. I also have pro and cannot do this.
