Connect to web data via login

Good afternoon

I need help. I have a system that I access via web (with login) and I extract reports or I get tables on the screen that I can then copy to switch to excel and then to power bi.

I try to access directly with power bi and I get out that I need login, but using the available options (basic, windows, anonymity), I can not access. The option to initiate organizational session tells me that it is not available for that resource.

This website is operational with firefox only,I do not know if it is important.

Could someone help me?

Thank you very much in advance

@Syndicate_Admin when you are connecting to the web data there are different type of accesses available.

The available authentication methods for this connector are:

  • Anonymous: Select this authentication method if the web page doesn't require any credentials.

  • Windows: Select this authentication method if the web page requires your Windows credentials.

  • Basic: Select this authentication method if the web page requires a basic user name and password.

  • Web API: Select this method if the web resource that you’re connecting to uses an API Key for authentication purposes.

  • Organizational account: Select this authentication method if the web page requires organizational account credentials.

in my opinion you can use organization account, in cases where data is available in Microsoft cloud/services only. If your data is available in any third-party website, then you would need credentials of that website to be able to access the data from powerbi.

I try to connect to a page that asks for my credentials (it is the typical login) and I try to do it with the basic option of Power BI but still fails to connect, I still get in preview the login page. It has nothing to do with how it is written the id of the user input and the password?
