i am trying to connect to our on premise sharepoint
i enter my URL as follows
https://sharepoint.domain.com.au/Site
i try my FQDN credentials and get Access to the resource is forbidden
we use ADFS authentication to access Sharepoint, what can i do to connect?
@gemidriver,
Have you enabled Windows auth in your data source? Generally, we use Windows authentication to connect to on-premises SharePoint in Power BI Desktop.

We haven't found a way to authenticate using ADFS. The only way we've found to connect so far uses IWA.
Have you found a solution yet?
I believe this is a known issue - pretty sure this work around will achieve what you want to do:
Assumption 1: You are trying to connect to a Document Library
Select from Home Tab: Get Data > Blank Query
Click: Advanced Editor
Replace the default code with the below - obviously putting in your real url 🙂
This should then prompt you with a authentication dialog
After this you should be able to navigate the directory structure to the relevant Document Library.
let Source = SharePoint.Contents("https://sharepoint.domain.com.au/Site", [ApiVersion = 14]) in Source
Assumption 2: You are trying to access a SharePoint List
let Source = SharePoint.Tables("https://sharepoint.domain.com.au/Site", [ApiVersion = 14]) in Source
i tried both methods with various credentials and get the same results
Access to the resource is forbidden
