Connect to Heroku PostgreSQL

I'm trying to connect to a PostgreSQL database hosted on Heroku in conjunction with a Rails website. I've installed Npgsql with the GAC option, entered the connection info into Power BI, and received the "Server certificate was not accepted" error. However, as the database is managed by Heroku, I don't see a way to copy the "server.crt" file to my computer. I have successfully connected to the database using pgAdmin. Has anyone had success connecting Power BI to Heroku PostgreSQL?

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

I am not specific about Heroku. After research, there is an article for your reference. There must be someone else have better advice.

In addition, clear all cache by clicking file->Options and Settings->Options, select the "Clear Cache". And connect your PostgreSQL again, check if it works fine.

Angelia,

Thanks for the reply and research! I did find that article, but I'm not sure what to do with the info there. The sticking point seems to be the SSL authentication. I tried adding the suggested `sslmode=require` query parameter to the url, but then got connection errors and didn't make it to the authentication.
