Connect to HBase table using Power BI

Hi,

I want to connect the Hbase table using Power BI. I tried with below drivers :

  CData ODBC driver for Apache Hbase(32/64 bit)

  CData PowerBI connector for Apache Hbase(64 bit)

  Simba Hbase ODBC driver(32/64 bit)

I have registered the HBase Rest server port then start the HBase Rest Server with port 9768 as an HBase user with below command:

/usr/hdp/current/hbase-master/bin/hbase-daemon.sh start rest -p 9768 --infoport 8085

The HBase Rest server started but when I tried to connect to HBase using Simba HBase ODBC driver with below connection properties:

  host = 127.0.0.1

  port = 9768

and also tried using the Hbase Thrift server.

it throws below error:

Hbase.PNG

CData ODBC driver for Apache Hbase  and CData PowerBI connector for Apache Hbase throws below error:

Hbase1.PNG

I tried with the Rest server default port (8080) still not able to connect to HBase.

Thanks,

So this is when you are trying to create the ODBC connection? Are you certain that your bits match (32-bits/64-bits)?

@ me in replies or I'll lose your thread!!!
