Connect to D365 Finance & Operations

I have successfully connected to D365 CE using the Online Service connector dialogue, providing a Web API URL and an organizational account credential. However, when I do the same porcedure with F&O I get the following message when I try to authenticate with my organizational account (AAD credential) -->"We were unable to connect because this credential type isn't supported for this resource. Please choose another credential type."

What am I missing? e.g. Do I need to request my infrastructure team to config F&O Odata to allow authentication via organizational account?

It turns out the OData URL link for F&O needed the suffix of /data instead of the suffix of /api/data/v8.2 that was required for my CRM instance.

Thanks for the reply.  My question was different. The thread you referred to describes the fact that entities must be makred as public to be viewed via OData. I did find a solution which I will post separately.
