Connect Matrix with table

I have a table table1 with column postal_code. From this I created a matrix like this:

postal_code#rows_in_table1
123456
1234618
1234723
......

Moreover, I have a different table table2 with columns postal_code and #households. I created a n:1 relation between table1 and table2 via the postal_code columns. Now in the above matrix, I would like to add a new column with values given by #rows_in_table1*100/#households, where #households should be taken from the respective postal_code. How can I achieve this?

Of course I could add a new column in table1 with #households (same values for same postal_codes) and take the averages, max, min, etc... in the matrix, but there should be a cleaner way, right?
