Conditional formatting in a clustered column chart

Hi everyone

I have a clustered column chart with many columns. What i want to do use conditional formatting on the chart so if one of the bars has a value higher than a certain value it will be a certain color. When i look online for a solution it says i should look under data colors and find diverging. I cant find that. Does anyone know how to solve that problem?

Sincerly

@Et1w

Sorry for misleading you, I did not understood the question at first.

You can do that, and here is how to do it step by step :

1 - Add the value you want to use as a color filter in the Color Saturation field

2 - Go to the Data Colors section in the Format area, it looks like that :

diverg.PNG

3 - Input the value as it follow :

Here I've put 999 999 as minima so that everything below is black and not half yellow half black

Hello @Et1w

You can't find it because diverging doesn't exist for clustered column chart. Try other visuals or try this tutorial :

Thank you for your answer. Do you know of another way to solve the problem?

@Et1w

Can you post here a screenshot of what you have at the moment ? It will help me trying to answer your question, I'm thinking about something but not sure about what you have

I may have mislead you

Hi, i am very grateful for your help. Where is the color satuation field?

There is no color saturation in clustered column and line charts. for conditional formatting you need to first go to Format your visuals pane, click on Columns and then click on fx next to Default to open the conditional formatting window.

When you selecting multiple colum bar then there is no conditional formatting - Fx is available in clustered column
