Conditional formatting for cards - gradient limitations

Hi all,

I want to use color gradient formatting on a card, but whatever I do, I am forced to enter a hard maximum and minimum -- the "custom" option is always grayed out.

Which is weird: Why even show an option that is always grayed out? So I suppose there must be some condition where it is usable, but... what is it? Does anyone know?

Hi @bookhouseboy ,

I think it's a expected behavior.

Since Card visual always show the summarized value, the value will be the the only one.

So Loweast and Highest value can't be automatically recognized , we could only custom the the conditions.

Hi Evelyn, thanks, I get that in principle, though it's not like it could not be useful. In my case, I basically want to have a card for, say, Tuesdays that is colored depending on the min/max of the other days of the same week. (I can't use a table for other reasons.)

I was hoping that I was missing something because the option is grayed out instead of simply not there. For other formatting schemes (other than gradient) the entire layout of options changes. So why, in this one instance, keep boxes around that always grayed out?

@bookhouseboy , depending on the measure, You do get an option, lowest to the highest value

@amitchandak Do you know what requirements a measure must fulfill for this?
