Conditional Font Formatting in Matrix Chart

Hi there, I am trying to get fonts highlighted based on their value difference by category over previous years.

I am working with a budget for instance. So for example, if I spent $1000 in the category 'Airfare' in 2017 and only $500 in the same category in 2016 I would like the font to show in red indicating that the total amount spent in the category of 'Airfare' in 2017 was higher than in 2016.

I can't seem to enable this feature using the built in conditional formatting options provided.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

@davidson929 unfortunately you cannot use conditional formatting on a column based on the value of another column. Like in this case if you have variance measure, you can put conditional formatting color on variance, if variance > 0 then red else green but you cannot color actual value column.

Hope it answered your question.
