Condition Formatting Card Visual

Good Afternoon,

I have a data model wherein I am refreshing the data on a daily basis.  If there is a data issue in our backend SQL Database, there is a chance I will import 0's into my Report.  I would like to implement some sort of warning signal if this happens.

So far, I have created a Card Visual showing "Total Visits_Yesterday".  I then have a custom Tooltip Page with a ColumnChart showing Visits for each Facility.  I have intentionally cropped out Facility Names below for confidentiality.

TotalVisits -Yesterday.png

The one idea I have is to format the Card Visual, (either the Background Colour or Data Label Colour), such that it displays RED if the value for any individual Facility = 0.  In this case Facility 3 = 0, so would want the Card to provide that warning signal.

My Measure is as follows:

TotalVisits_MaxDate = CALCULATE(Sumx(GeneralStatistics,GeneralStatistics[TotalVisits]),
               Filter(GeneralStatistics,GeneralStatistics[Date]=Max(GeneralStatistics[Date])))

Any help with the conditional formatting functionality would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance and best regards,

@rsbin not sure if card visual is the right approach, what happens if there is more than one store with 0 value. maybe a table visual is more appropriate and highlights/list the stores with zero value? Does it make sense or I have a wrong understanding?

Hi @parry2k

Your understanding is absolutely correct.  I thought about that idea, but I only have a small area to work with in my Report Page.

Hence, I went with the Card Visual.  As soon as that shows RED, the User can hover over the card and the Tooltip Column Chart will then inform or convey which store(s) have zero.  That is also why I purposely showed the Tooltip chart in my original post.  My next step would then be to conditionally format the column chart to highlight those locations with 0 value.

Hope this add some clarity to my use case.

Appreciate the response and further suggestions!

Kind Regards,
