Concatenate of Text

I concatenated 3 columns of text headers into a 4th column and it works beautifully except there is so much text I have to resize the columns by hand in the visual. Is there a way to add a return between sections of the text so it will create a narrower column? Right now there is just a space hypen space ( - ) between hearder names.

Here is what I used to create the concatenate.

Contractor = 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[Contractor Name] & " - PO#" & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[PO] & " - PO Line " & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[PO Line] & " - End Date " & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[End Date]

Hi @datavis,

Please try this:

Contractor =
'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[Contractor Name] & UNICHAR ( 10 )
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[PO]
    & UNICHAR ( 10 )
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[PO Line]
    & UNICHAR ( 10 )
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[End Date]

After adding this column to table or matrix visual, remember to turn on "word wrap" option.

Hi @datavis,

That case, please try:

Contractor =
'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[Contractor Name] & UNICHAR ( 10 )
    & "- PO#"
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[PO]
    & "- PO Line"
    & UNICHAR ( 10 )
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[PO Line]
    & UNICHAR ( 10 )
    & "- End Date"
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[End Date]

Thank you Yuliana,

I had " - PO#" and " - PO Line" and " - End Date" in the string so that it would be in the header identifying the copy:

John Smith - PO#1234 - PO Line 1 - End Date 08/31/2018

I also had word wrap on so not sure why it doesn't automatically wrap. Thanks for the info!

Hi @datavis,

That case, please try:

Contractor =

    & "- PO#"
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[PO]
    & "- PO Line"
    & UNICHAR ( 10 )
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[PO Line]
    & UNICHAR ( 10 )
    & "- End Date"
    & 'Sep-Jun 2018 Burn Down'[End Date]
