Comparing cost data for multiple years on one line graph

Having trouble figuring out how to compare mutiple years of cost data on one Jan-Dec line graph. I was thinking this configuration would get me what I am looking for....but it give me a cont. x-axis.

Can anyone help?question.png

Try using the month name on the x Axis. Or you can also use the custom visual called 'Small Multiples Line Chart' which is even better in this case so you dont get a spaghetti chart

can you clarify how you have the months formatted in your table? I followed a tutorial to make a dDate table and my Jan-Dec is formatted as text only. If I try to change the date type to date, I get an error. Thanks

Hi @warnera

the month is formatted as text. This is the Month column of the usual AdventureWorks Data Warehouse
