Compare variation in inventory aging between dates using targeting targeting

Inventory Comparison.jpgHello everyone

I'm very new to Power Bi and would like to compare the difference in the inventory aging report between two days selected using data segmentation.

I have data like date wise product and is quantity, value and aging cube(0-30 days,31-60 days,61-90 days and > 90 days)

Now I would like to view and compare by selecting two dates (for example, April 15 and April 30) as below screenshot shown. If I change the first date or second date dynamically, all information must change.

sample date attached as photo.

I've prepared the table in BI for a certain date, but I have no idea how to bring inventory information from two dates and the difference between dates.

Please help with formulas to get this in Power Bi.

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

@prabhuk although you need to unpivot your table and follow these steps

- transform data

- select date, product, and region table

- right-click, unpivot other columns

it will add two columns, attribute, and value, rename these as per your requirement

close and apply

In matrix visual,

put product and region on rows,

put the attribute on columns

and value on value section

on format page, turn off step layout and drill down to next level

and that will get what you are looking for, it might require small tweaking but it will get what you want.

I would  Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!
