Hello All,
I'm working on a report which requires users to select values from multiple slicers and then compare data in grid format. Example:
First user selects Region from Slicer#1(Europe) and also Region from Slicer#2 (America) Grids give data of sales between those two regions. Then user select Vendor from for another slicer and another vendor to compere with from different slicer. There will be over 6 different slicers total of 12
I guess my question is, has anyone done similar work and can share videos, document or pbix file?
Help will be much apprecited?
@Anonymous,
You may turn Single Select to Off to allow selecting multiple items and and take advantage of Drill down in a visualization in Power BI.
@Anonymous,

Hi @Anonymous
The question seems to be very ambigous can you share some data and the expected result.

I'm in the requirement gathering phase. Solution we are looking for is to compares sales by mutilple slicer.
Step 1: User Select Region for Slicer#1 then User Selects another Region from Slider#2 to Compare the sales between selected region
Step 2: User Selects Vendor from Slicer#3 then User Selects another Vendor from Slicer#4 to Compare sales by vendor
So at a very high level I would like to first compare sales by region and then within those regions sales by vendor.
I hope this helps.
Hi,
There should be 1 slicer for all Regions and another slicer for all vendors. Why would you want to have 2 slicers for Customers and another 2 for vendors?
@Ashish_MathurThere are 6 different fields to compare Region, Country, Vendor, Product, Supplier, Customer * 2 = 12
We want user to compare Region with another region and so on.
Hi,
You still do not need 2 slicers for each. If you drag Region to the column or section and also have a slicer, then when you select a specific region from the Region slicer, only those 2 regions will be visible in the visual.
How would that give me variance between multiple selections?
Region 1 Total - Region 2 Total and etc.
Hi,
That is correct. My method will not give you that.
@Anonymous attached is something I did for another post where a user select different values from slicer and then compares it. You can extend the use of it to meet you needs.

@Anonymous did you looked at my file? You can use similar approach for next level of slicers.

Yes, So I should create over 12 independent tables like you created Slicer1.Budget. That would complecate the model a lot. Any other option?
