Good Day
I'm new to PowerBi and I am struggling to find the fucntions / approach to review two tables of data I have.
Essentially, I have Table 1 from an Email Archiving System and Table 2 active MSOL users and all their associated aliases.
Table 1 contains 2 columns
Column 1; Email Address 1
Column 2: Email Address 2
Table 2 contains 30 columns
Column1 : Email Address 1
Column2 : Email Address 2
Column3 : Email....
This proceeds for a total of 30 columns (some users have up to 30 email addresses...)
We are trying to find if Table 1 has any matches in Table 2.
Any guidance/assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi@kodub
You can try to use unpivot columns function in Edit Queries like below:
Step 1:
Select 30 columns of Table2 and then click unpovit columns
Step 2:
Use merge queries to merge two table:
Step 3:
Expand the table
Result:
Values in this column is show that if column 1 in table 1 has matches in table 2.
Of course, do it by another column in table 1.
Best Regards,
Lin
