Combo Chart with Multiple Lines

Afternoon,

I am trying to create a few reports for a client to replace their existing reports. One of their current reports is a combo chart that utilizes three parameters: Entity, Comparative Entities, Year(s). Their current column values are a few basic values such as Net Income and Return on Net Assets. The combo chart has two Line Values one for the entity cumulative amount and comparative entity cumulative amounts. The entity cumulative amount line value is tied to the Entity parameter and the comparative entity cumulative amounts are tied to the Comparative Entities parameter. Then it is filtered by year.

My question is how can I have my current combo chart have two line values? One tied to entity cumulative amounts for Entity and the second tied to comparative entity cumulative amounts for Comparative Entities. I need each parameter to be able to create their own line value for the column chart and to allow the user to select multiple entities on run time. CaptureOfComboChart.PNG

I am new to PowerBI and any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous

You can place several fields in the "Line values" section of the combo chart. One line per field will be shown

Hi, @v-lili6-msft ,

The expected output is the screenshot from my original post, the user is able to select one to many values from two different parameters which drives the two line and column values in the Excel Combo Chart. My sample pbix file is pictured below, I have two line values but i am unsure of how to tie the lines to two different parameters. One parameter for the column values and one of the line values based on when the user selects the entity, and the second parameter for the second line value to compare one to many entities. CaptureOfPBIX.PNG

hi, @Anonymous

Why "Cumulative CFI" don't appear in the chart?

Could you share a simple sample pbix file with the expected output for us to have a test? We couldn't find out the reason just from the screenshot.

You can upload it to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
