Combining 2 databases

I want to show the revenues by customer in 1 chart of both databases

I've got 2 databases of the same software suite.

They got the same tables in it, but the ID's have different meaning.

Simplified version of tables:

Revenues: Custumer ID, amount, sales, date, etc

Customer Customer ID, name , GLN code, etc

Glncode is a GS1 code and customers from both databaes can be indentified by this code.

How can i combine this to get one chart ?

I've got a date table, but still I won't be able to show the revenue in 1 chart.

Correct me if there's a way to do this.

Hi @Anonymous,

Since you want to combine the two tables. What's the relationship between the two tables?

=> Glncode is a GS1 code and customers from both databaes can be indentified by this code.

However I didn't see GLN Code column in table Revenues. How does customer in table Revenues be identified by this code?

Thanks,
Xi Jin.

In the revenue table I don't have the GS1 code. Thats basically the problem.

I can add a column in the data tab and do a related(gln code), but these columns aren't available in the query view.

I need it before I want to do an append.

Tried to add the column in the query view, but related() results in an error.

So is there a way to add this column in the query view?

Hi @Anonymous,

Please share us some sample data and your expected result. So that we can make some test and provide more proper suggestions. Rather than just guessing.

Thanks,
Xi Jin.

Do you have date field in both tables?

Yes, I oversimplified the table.

Corrected it in the original post.

if you have date fields in both tables, you can create a Dynamic Date Table and link the other two tables date field with the Newly created date table.
