Combine 2 values within the same column

Hello

I constructed a Sales Goal dashboard for the Sales team. We have a column that lists out the different Goal Types such as

Total Sales

Hospital Sales

Office Sales

Other Sales

This month they changed the Goals a bit and want to combine 2 of the Goal Types into 1. In this case it'll be Total Sales and Other Sales into one. How do I go about this? I know there are ways to combine values between 2 columns but how do I do so within the same column?

It is bad practice is to use "implicit" measure.

Implicit measures are when you drag column names from the table to the report canvas.

It is best pratice to use "explicit" DAX measures ...

Total Sales    = SUM(filename["TotalSales])

Hospital Sales  = SUM(filename[HospitalSales])

Office Sales  = SUM(filename[OfficeSales])

Other Sales  = SUM(filename[OtherSales])

These are much easier to change when the goal post move ....

NewGoal = [Total Sales] + [Other Sales]

 I helped you, now plwase help me with kudos.

Hi @AA622 ,

Please create the new table and relationship.

Types =
    {
        ("Hospital Sales", "Hospital Sales"),
        ("Office Sales", "Office Sales"),
        ("Combine Sales", "Total Sales"),
        ("Combine Sales", "Other Sales")
    }
