Combine 2 data sets

Hello,

I have two set of data with different granularity level:

Set 1: This set is available for data from May until 13 September

Date                     Number of submitted scoping

15 may 2018        73

16 may 2018        88

17 may 2018        120

...                           ...

Set 2: This set is available for data as from 14 September

For each date, I have the details of the submitted scoping (meaning for 15 may 2018, I have 73 different lines, for 16 may, I have 88 lines, ... ).

Date                  Entity         Scoping Status

15 may 2018     Entity A      Started

15 may 2018     Entity B      Submitted

15 may 2018     Entity C      Submitted

15 may 2018     Entity D      Submitted

15 may 2018     Entity E      Rejeted

I calculate the number of submitted scoping based on this detail by using a measure:

CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT('Report'[Entity]),'Report'[Scoping Status]="Submitted").

Based on data set 2, I build a graph for showing the increase of the number of submitted scoping.

However the graph discloses evolution as from 14 september only.

I would like to add the history by taking into account the data set 1.

How can I "merge" the 2 data sets to have one single graph showing the increase of the number of submitted scoping from May to Today ?

For info, I have to keep the details of data set 2 for drilldowns purposes.

Thanks a lot !

@Anonymous Try to summarize the second dataset into the same format as first and then UNION the dataset1 with the newly created dataset (derived from dataset2) then you will have a single dataset with one structure.
