Columns not coming up in formulas

Hi,

When I click 'New Measure' the columns don't come up in the formula when i click '[' or '''. 
They do when i click 'New Column'.

Why is this?

measures expect some sort of aggregate function because it is not stored at the row level.  New columns would add a value for each row.  Measure just sum up, or get the max or min or a distinct count.   In order to get a column into a measure you to work you need to apply an aggregate function to a column or call on another calculated measure.

LOL hahaha PowerBI is such trash compareed to Tableau if this is really how you solve this. Man Microsoft is professionals at creating horrific products.

Measure calculate value, it not support direct calculate with column value. You should polymeric them to get value.(e.g. sum(table[Column]), max(table[column])
