Column not relating to dates

Hi,

Have create a Column that is not relating to a Calendar table Date Hierarchy:

Renewed CAPS = IF(AND([RENEWAL]=1,[A1B_BOUND_DATE]>1),1,BLANK())

Ironically created a similar Column that is relating to a Calendar table  Date Hierarchy:

Renewed Edge = if(AND([RENEWAL_FLAG]="y",[BOUND_DATE]>1),1,BLANK())

Any suggestions why the 1st Column will not relate to a Date Hierarchy?

Thanks

Should have added, already have them fields related to the Calendar Date table

1st one

Date Renewal CAPS = if([Renewed CAPS]=1, CALCULATE(VALUES(PeriodMonth[Period]),FILTER(PeriodMonth,PeriodMonth[START_DATE].[Date]<=EARLIER([A1B_BOUND_DATE].[Date])&&PeriodMonth[END_DATE].[Date]>=EARLIER([A1B_BOUND_DATE].[Date]))),BLANK())

2nd one

Date Renewal Edge = IF([Renewed Edge]=1, CALCULATE(VALUES(PeriodMonth[Period]),FILTER(PeriodMonth,PeriodMonth[START_DATE].[Date]<=EARLIER([BOUND_DATE])&&PeriodMonth[END_DATE].[Date]>=EARLIER([BOUND_DATE]))),BLANK())

Thanks,
