Column naming : put units in the name ? rpm, %, volts

Hi, just wondering what the conventional wisdom is on column naming in fact tables when it comes to units.  Do you bring the unit into the name of the column (renamed in PQ for instance if data source doesn't have it already named).

eg

Battery (Volts)

Engine (RPM)

Fuel Level (%)

Oil Pressure (PSI)

Thanks !

Depends. Depends on your audience (if they know what the numbers mean then you might not need to do that). Depends on the available real estate. Having lots of columns will likely force you to cut down on column header length.  Depends on if you have a disclaimer text box that explains the data source and the units of measure.  "Revenue data from the Finance cube in K$"  for example.
