Clean data in a base table based on related info in another table

Here's my challenge:

TABLE 1: I see all my general ledger accounts (GL) in various GL groups. One GL can be in many groups.

TABLE 2: I see the only MAIN GL groups used to build my financial statement.

Question: At the query level, In TABLE 1, is it possible to clean data and only see the groups I see in TABLE 2?

Initially I thought adding a column in Table 1 showing the related results in Table 2 (blank if N/A), but not even sure how to do it...

Still in my first week of learning Power Bi. Thanks!

@Gadwood74  One way of achieving this is by joining (Inner Join) both Table 1 and Table 2, then you will get the result set of GLs which are present in Table 2 as well as Table 1. Use Merge Queries option in Power Query Editor.

Please always provide the sample test data and expected output, if you are looking for exact steps with accurate solution.

Thanks - I want to clean data at the query level not in the report section.
