Claculated column resulting blank values

Hi,

I have added a calculated column 'LY'. But it is giving the blank values.

(Note : I have made a MEASURE in the same way, which is working. But I need a column)

Formula used is
LY = CALCULATE(SUM(KPI_MfgExp[Actual]),PREVIOUSYEAR(KPI_MfgExp[Month]))

Please let me know, if any modification to be done.

Hi @seenai ,

The time intelligence function PREVIOUSYEAR() requires a continous date column, I would suggest you creating another calendar table with the CALENDARAUTO() function.

Best Regards,

Teige

The scope of this column function is the current row, you probably will not get a return value from current row.

Instead, you can create a variable that calculates the needed value as follows (this is an experiment!)
LY =
var theCalculation = CALCULATE(SUM(KPI_MfgExp[Actual]),PREVIOUSYEAR(KPI_MfgExp[Month]))

return LY
