Hello everybody,
I am asking for help with a dependency problem in PowerBI. You can find the pbix- File here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=10jEJ8DLzZjIyJ_0wDOMoPn9ToTV8blfr
I have 3 tables:
(1) One with the turnover, an ID (for example a contract ID), the material and the date
(2) One with the costs, the ID, and the date of the costs
(3) One with the date
The Link between (1) and (2) is the ID, so I am able to show the costs depending on the material. Then I would like to link (3) with (1) and (2) over the date, so that I can show profit ( turnover-costs) over date and over material. I am getting the error, that I have to activate the (1) - (2) relationship in order to activate the other relation.
Does anybody can help me?
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind regards,
Matze

Hi @matze ,
You can create one relationship between (1) and (2), one relationship between (2) and (3), and there is no need to create relationship between (1) and (3), just change the Cross filter direction of all relationships from Single to Both, which will take the three tables treated as a single table.
You can learn more about relationship :https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-create-and-manage-relationships.

Amy
