I'm making a report with a matrix where I use data from both tables so I need to have a relationship between them.
I have a long string that I'm using as unique IDs to join both tables, but when I try to set the relationship, I receive the error "A circular dependency was detected". Now, I understand this error is because to get the ID in Logs, I make a LOOKUPVALUE search in Master.
I really need to make a search in Master in order to define the ID for Logs, is the only way I can get the correct ID.
ID = IF(ISBLANK(LOOKUPVALUE('Master'[ID],'Master'[ID],Logs[IDcomplete])),IF(ISBLANK(LOOKUPVALUE('Master'[ID],'Master'[ID], Logs[IDOnlyProject])),"NOT FOUND IN MASTER",Logs[IDOnlyProject]),Logs[IDcomplete])
So basically in Logs I have 2 IDs, and for deciding which one to use I make a search in Master.
