I have an issue where Commissions are calculated based on Collected Revenue but I then need to add Commissions and Collected Revenue together for additional calculations later.
I attempted to just create a calculated column with Expense Load = [CollectedRevenue]+[Final Commissions] but received the error: A circular dependency was detected: Sum Gross[Final Commissions], Sum Gross[Column], Sum Gross[Final Commissions].
Is there a way to get around this?

I did find a solution. Essentially I needed to rebuild the data behind the measure as an entirely different dataset and integrate it back in with the original dataset later on.
Thanks for the help

Hi @Anonymous ,
Please have a good look at the blog below which should be helpful.
How to avoid circular dependency errors in dax.
If you still need help, please share your dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
