Choose Series via Visual

I have a line and clustered column chart where the x axis is time (sorted nicely by a date table and heirarchy).  As the person building the report, I can easily grab any field and throw it in either the column or line values area to quickly update which data is shown.  I'm trying to set this up for others to use.  Is there a way I can set up a visual/slicer with a list of fields and have it update the chart dynamically?

For example, the slicer would have options:

  • Headcount
  • Revenue
  • Sections

And based on which the end-user selected the line graph would change? I'd prefer this approach to having a new tab for each bullet point.

Hi @TylerBrown,

If I understand your requirement correctly that you want to create a slicer with the options below and filter the values in the line and clustered column chart by selecting the options in the slicer.

  • Headcount
  • Revenue
  • Sections

If it is convenient, could you share some data sample which could reproduce your scenario so that I can understand your scenario better and get the solution more quickly.

Best Regards,

Cherry
